Athletic Communications 


Mission

The primary purpose of Athletic Communications department is to serve as a liaison between Titan athletics' administration, coaches and student-athletes and the local, state and/or national media. This page is intended to be a resource for professional media and assist them in their coverage of Legacy Athletics media. 


To facilitate the requests of Legacy officials and athletes as well as print and electronic media in order to ensure the best possible media coverage of Titan Athletics.   Athletic Communications provides a wide range of other services to meet the ever-growing needs of media covering interscholastic sports, as well as to assist other information-seeking organizations and individuals.

In addition, the department serves as the public relations arm of Legacy athletics, keeping image a top priority in its dealings with media, fans and others wishing to learn more about Legacy athletics and its people.


Media Credentials: All requests for media, broadcast, photo, and parking credentials (when applicable) for Legacy athletic events should be directed to the Athletic Communications staff

Requests must be made at least one (1) week before the date of the event, via Credential Request form 


Interview Policy:    All interviews with athletics staff members, coaches and/or student-athletes must be arranged at least 24 hours in advance by contacting the Athletic Communications staff (alfio.veasey@legacysss.org).      Virtual interviews may be available on a "call-back" basis at a time that is convenient for the interviewee.   Postgame interviews (when available) with coaches and players

will be conducted following a 10-minute team meeting (cooling period).  Media members are not allowed in the Titans' locker room/team bench areas.


Reference Style Guide:    When referencing to Legacy the School of Sport Sciences' Athletics -  please use Legacy, Spring Legacy, Legacy SSS or LSSS (abbreviated). 

Titans should be used to represent all Legacy athletic teams.
