Nordic to Lead Legacy's  New Wrestling Program

NORDIC TO LEAD LEGACY'S NEW WRESTLING PROGRAM

SPRING, Texas (April 9, 2021) -- Legacy School of Sport Sciences is excited to announce Ty Nordic as the Titan's new Head Wrestling Coach. Nordic will lead this brand new program, slated to begin competition during the 2021-2022 school year. Nordic started wrestling at age 12 in Fort Collins, Colorado, and continued to compete through college. He began coaching during his senior year at Colorado State University, and has been coaching and officiating for the past 30 years. Nordic has coached 3 National Champions, numerous State champions, and 4 State Championship teams. He has successfully started and coached Wrestling clubs in Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas. Nordic earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sports Science in 1991, and started his career teaching High School. He became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association in 2002, and has served as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for athletes of all ages for the past 19 years. Nordic is celebrating his 30th anniversary with his wife, Amy in May, 2021. They are the very proud parents of their 4 children, Shaylah, Stetson, Slade and Shanaye. Legacy Wrestling will likely compete as an independent team, until a league that is a good fit for the program is identified. ``````````````````````````````````````````````` Legacy the School of Sport Sciences, located in Spring, Texas, is the first state accredited charter school in the state of Texas that focuses on the professions within athletics.
